One of the things I love about being a Master Trainer for TRX is that I get to travel around Asia, meeting some great people- dedicated trainers who are keen to take their knowledge and experience to another level for themselves and their clients!
As I am based in Hong Kong, I am fortunate to be able to conduct several sessions per year to trainers who are keen to obtain their certification to teach TRX courses, whether in HK or around the world.
Here is one of my classes in Hong Kong, with a group of dedicated professionals, getting to grips with the TRX suspension trainer!
It is always a great pleasure for me to showcase the versatility and utility of the TRX to a new crop of fitness professionals.
Earlier in the year, I taught the TRX Suspension Trainer Course in Beijing and was extremely impressed with the form and technique for squats shown by the graduate class!
The squat is a critical foundational movement for health and fitness. It is represented by the Tiger in my “5 Animal Fitness” methodology of dominant movement patterns.
The squat is definitely a key movement pattern that you will want to be familiar and comfortable with. As babies and young children, we could squat naturally, comfortably, safely and pain-free. Unfortunately, our sedentary modern lifestyle, especially in the West, means many adults have “lost” this natural ability to squat.
The Beijing class demonstrate clearly what the TRX overhead squat movement develops!
