F.A.C.E.U.P. award winners at the TRX Instructor Summit 2014! I was delighted and honoured to have been voted “effective” by my friends and peers. Thank you, TRX, for an experience that exceeded expectations!

TRX in Bali!

This year’s TRX Instructor Summit took place over an amazing week in Bali! 70 TRX instructors from all over the world descended on Bali for this year’s instructor summit.

We were split into teams for the week, and the team I was in included people from Australia, Taipei, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and me from Hong Kong/New Zealand.

Each day was different. We would have a morning workout, a specialised lecture to update or give us insights about what is in the pipeline for TRX, and a team challenge.

By far the most favourite challenge was the beach acrobatics where naturally the gymnasts and yoga-ites got a chance to show off!

One part of the summit was the TRX “TED” talks. I gave a talk on “united” and my TRX experience teaching in Asia since 2010. It was an experiential talk, recognising that we had people from as far away as Norway to as close as Bali in our circle.

We did a “TRX wave” where people yelled out their country of origin and a face up step in where our large circle came to a group huddle through the face up culture. Fun-Authentic-Compeititve-Effective-United-Physical… F.A.C.E.U.P.!

This was my third TRX summit. I must say that this one exceeded my expectations, so a big shout out to all the organisers, lecturers and staff at TRX who helped make this very special!
