TRX FOR TRIATHLETES MAGAZINE ARTICLE

I wrote an article which was published in the 2nd edition of the TriMag Asia magazine, focusing on TRX training for triathletes!

TRX TRIMAG ASIA article 01In this article, I focused on 3 key exercises to be done with the TRX Suspension Trainer which are functional to triathlons and contribute to ankle, hip, core, spinal and shoulder stability and strength.

Scorpion Cross– contributes to faster swimming. This exercise mimics the swim position and plugs up any power leaks from the shoulders at the entry and catch phase of the stroke, while also helping core rotation.

Sprint Start– the driving action mimics the pushing action as you pedal, and will give you the extra strength needed on a sprint or when tackling a hill on your bike!

Single Leg Squat / Opposite Arm Row– by increasing the strength and diagonal relationship of the left back miles, the posterior core and the right glutes, a “smart spring” system which stores and releases energy is promoted.
