THE JOURNEY OF MAN’S MOVEMENT

The human body was made to crawl, to run, to jump; to squat, lunge, bend, and twist; to push and pull. Throughout our evolution, we would perform these dominant movement patterns.

Our recent sedentary lifestyle has brought about a host of health problems. Most of us spend far too much of our day sitting down and not enough time doing what our bodies were made to do.

When we do try to “exercise”, we often have muscle and postural imbalances and therefore open ourselves to risk of injury.

I aim to take you from the poor posture and sedentary nature of the Sloth, sitting all day at his desk hunched up against his computer, through “The Journey Of Man’s Movement”– revisiting and re-learning the dominant movement patterns.

I have developed my “5 Animal Fitness” methodology uses a different animal to express each of these key movements- twist, bend, squat, lunge, pull, push!

  • The Dragon represents the Twist/Rotation pattern
  • The Bear represents the Bend pattern
  • The Tiger represents the Squat
  • The Monkey represents Pull and Lunge
  • The Crane represents Push and Lunge

Performing the basic fundamental movement patterns daily will keep your body in good physical shape and lay the foundation for overall health and fitness.

You will transform from the desk-bound Sloth, to enjoy true freedom of movement. This is Movement For Life.
