SUP BOARD!

I’ve taken the plunge and got my own Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board!

This is a relatively new sport / activity but is excellent for developing the core and provides an intense full body workout. Your “small stabiliser” muscles are required to work hard in order for you to maintain balance on an ever-shifting moving platform of water!

There are obvious crossover benefits to paddling sports like Dragon Boat and Outrigger Canoes, but it is also clear to me how we can utilise the SUP for land-based sports and activities that require rotation and balance such as golf, tennis, martial arts!
