Apps, Life Fitness, Retreats, TRX

I was fortunate to have been invited by the China Life Fitness and TRX distributors to present at the AsiaFit personal trainers conference in Shanghai this July. I gave a presentation and conducted a workshop to share my approach to programme design for functional fitness. This also forms the basis of the content for the apps that I am developing!

For the past few days I was in Shanghai teaching and sharing the knowledge and experience I have built up over many years of study and practical application. It is important to me that any workout program consists of solid theory which is backed up by practical application.

I gave a 2-part lecture which consisted of 90 minutes of theory, followed by a 4-hour practical application workshop using the Life Fitness Synrgy 360.

The presentation which goes through my programme design, “Global Performance Synergy”, is a holistic approach to functional fitness. I believe you should teach the fundamental global movement patterns slowly in order to train properly coordination and balance, and to encourage the movement of Qi– energy / life force. This is the first step towards performance.

The theory was then put into practice with a workshop conducted on the Life Fitness Synrgy 360. This is an amazing piece of equipment that facilitates multi-modality training for the foundational movement patterns which I believe are essential as the basis for health, fitness and performance!
